Provide inspection and recertification services for high-pressure carbon dioxide cylinders used in the fire suppression system at Albeni Falls Dam. Contractor is to deliver all parts, labor, materials, personnel, transportation, perform hydrostatic testing, and refilling of CO2 cylinders. Work includes picking up between 48 and 62 cylinders from Albeni Falls Dam, transporting them to the contractor’s facility, emptying, reclaiming the CO2, removing valves, visually inspecting cylinders, hydrotesting to 150% of working pressure, measuring expansion, determining integrity, evaluating valves, compiling as-found inspection reports, and submitting documentation. Additional services include quoting for rebuilding Kidde Type 'I' valves, replacement of valves and cylinders, and complete documentation and recertification of cylinders and valves. Cylinders will be inspected by AFD personnel before pickup and upon return for proper markings and documentation. The Government will provide all cylinders, complete with valves and protective caps. Contractor should prepare for handling 62 cylinders.
