Anybody who wishes to submit a bid MUST obtain the documents from Gianforcaro Architects, Engineers & Planners Sealed bids are invited for the construction of an Outdoor Classroom at Marian Emmons McKeown Elementary School, 1 School Road, Newton, New Jersey, including all work incidental to the project, following the requirements of the provided Drawings and Specifications. Bid packages are requested for a single, overall contract covering all incidental work. Bidders and all general construction contractors and subcontractors for bids exceeding $20,000 must be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, possessing a valid Notice of Classification prior to bid receipt. Bidders or their subcontractors must be classified in discipline C054: Site Work. Bids must be submitted on designated Proposal Forms, enclosed in a sealed envelope showing the name and address of the bidder and Proposal Identification Number, and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond not less than 10% of the bid amount. Each bidder must submit a Certificate of Consent of Surety, stating provision of a Performance/Payment Bond for the full contract amount if successful. All applicable federal, state, and municipal laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations must be observed, including Affirmative Action and Public Works Contractor Registration Act requirements. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, or not to award any portion of the project if requisite approvals are not obtained. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after the opening date. No bid will be accepted that does not conform to the furnished specifications.
