The work involves demolition and replacement of the concrete slab over the existing coal chute tunnel, including removal of the existing steel rails and replacement of the concrete slab between the existing support beams at Sheahan Pumping Station, 3941 Grandview Avenue, Memphis, TN 38111. Potential bidders must attend a mandatory site visit. All bidders are required to complete the Bidding Blank in its entirety, entering "N/A" where applicable. Questions regarding the bid must be submitted in writing via email with the appropriate subject line. Contact with MLGW staff outside of those designated is prohibited during the bid process. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by Title 62, Chapter 6, of the Tennessee Code Annotated. The outside of the bid envelope must include bidder's name, license number, expiration date, and classification applying to the bid. For bids under $25,000, "Exempt from licensing requirement" must be stated in the license number field. Only hard copies of bids will be accepted; electronic submissions are not allowed. Bidders must submit qualifications as specified. Performance and payment bonds are required for successful bidders. MLGW reserves the right to reject bids, waive minor irregularities, and accept any portion of any bid deemed most favorable.
