Renovation of a detention facility in Hilo, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility; and detention facility.
Mechanical and Electrical Systems Repairs and Improvements Phase 4 at the Hawaii Community Correctional Center. The work and delivery are to be performed on the Island of Hawaii. Important: See the Notice to Bidders for additional requirements. The work generally consists of replacement of the existing sanitary, vent pipes and sprinkler heads & pipe inside of the chase rooms in Komohana Building. Project consists of replacement of the existing sanitary, vent pipes, fire sprinkler heads and pipes inside of the chase rooms and fire sprinkler heads in cells and corridors in Komohana Building. 1. Project Location: Hawaii Community Correctional Center (60 Punahele Street, Hilo, Hawaii). B. Perform operations and furnish equipment, fixtures, appliances, tools, materials, related items and labor necessary to execute, complete and deliver the Work as required by the Contract Documents. C. The Division and Sections into which these specifications are divided shall not be considered an accurate or complete segregation of work by trades. This also applies to work specified within each section. D. Contractor shall not alter the Drawings and Specification. If an error or discrepancy is found, notify the Contracting Officer. E. Specifying of interface and coordination in the various specification sections is provided for information and convenience only. These requirements in the various sections shall complement the requirements of this Section. F. The intent of this project is for work to be conducted in an operational correctional facility. Correctional Facility staff will be present during construction because of the constant inmate movement and the inability to segregate the work area from inmate traffic. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1 million.
