The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials, aggregate, media, equipment, and other necessary items to safely rebuild Tonka pressure filter 2 and Tonka pressure filter 4 back to their original condition. This work involves surface preparation for both interior and exterior surfaces, painting, replacement of all filter media and aggregate, installation of new nozzles and air scour system, and any needed hardware, welds, and repairs required to complete the rebuild of each Tonka pressure filter. The contractor is required to visit the site to fully understand the scope of the project. Instructions to bidders include: - Bids must be sealed proposals and submitted to the specified address by the deadline. - All bids will be considered valid for 60 days after the opening date. - Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty, which can be a bond for 100% of the bid, a certified check for 10% of the bid drawn on an Ohio bank, or a letter of credit from an Ohio bank. - If the bid is accepted, a contract must be entered into within ten days of the Notice of Award. - A Performance Bond and Payment Bond, both for 100% of the contract price, are required. - Contractors must pay wages at or above the current minimum wage set by the Ohio Department of Commerce. - All bidders must ensure non-discrimination in employment based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
