Architect and Engineering Services Fayette County Government in cooperation with the Town of Williston and Midsouth Development District (MDD), requests statements of qualifications from engineering and architectural firms for the rehabilitation of two municipal buildings. Selection criteria for the firm include: specified experience or technical expertise with the required services; past performance record with regard to quality of work, timeliness, and cost control; capacity to perform the work within time limitations considering current and planned workload; knowledge of state grant processes with a record of compliance and good standing; and familiarity with local conditions. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. "Requests for proposals for design services is underway." Fayette County has received a ThreeStar grant for specific building repairs at Williston Town Hall (15415 Highway 193, Williston, TN) and the development of a comprehensive plan that addresses the structural and design needs to repurpose Somerville Elementary School (12690 S Main St, Somerville, TN 38068) into a community center. The plan will include a preliminary engineering or architectural report, opinion of probable cost, and project design. Fayette County Government will utilize the following criteria for selection of the firm. 1. Specified experience or technical expertise of the firm in connection with the type of services to be provided. 2.Past record of performance on contracts with other clients including quality of work, timeliness, and cost control. 3.Capacity of firm to perform the work within time limitations, taking into consideration the current and planned workload of the firm. 4.Familiarity with state grants and eligibility requirements. 5.Familiarity with local conditions.
