Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Gower, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The City of Gower is now accepting bids for chip and seal. 1. Street with curb and gutter- the seal coat is to cover cracks between the asphalt and gutter. 2. Asphalt to be used will be MC-3000 OR MC-800 sprayed at a temperature of 220 degrees, at a rate of .25 hundredth gallons per square yard and applied with a calibrated distributor. 3. Aggregate to be used will be 1/4 X 1/8 inch haydite at a rate of 11 lbs per square yard. Aggregate will be furnished by the city. 4. All chips are to be applied on the asphalt within 3 to 5 minutes after asphalt is applied. 5. Rolling is to be done immediately after chips are spread. 6. Wings at each intersection are to be sealed and chipped if the street they are on is being sealed. 7. When job is completed, contractor is to call for an immediate inspection by the City Coordinator and City Street Commissioner. When approved and the contractor has furnished lien waivers for materials, labor, and fuel, the City is to pay 100 percent of the contract.
