Sealed Bids for the Town of New Whiteland, Indiana, through its Town Council, for Phase I - Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements project as specified and shown on the Drawings, will be received. Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the Project site and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Bidding Documents. All bids must be submitted on the bid forms as identified in the Contract Documents and Specifications. A conditional or qualified bid will not be accepted. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid to insure execution of the contract. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price and a maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price for three years from final acceptance. Bids shall include all information requested by Indiana Form 96 (latest revision), including a financial statement. No bidder may withdraw their bid for ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or to waive any irregularities or formalities, as deemed in the Owner's best interest. Final award of the project is contingent on the Owner's successful closing on Sewage Works Revenue Bonds. Bidders are required to comply with the provisions of the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended, and with 41 CFR Part 60-4 regarding Construction Contractors Affirmative Action Requirements.
