Renovation of a swimming pool in Dodge City, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.

Repainting Long Branch Slides :- The City of D odge City is accepting Requests for Proposals for the repainting of the exterior surfaces of the water slides at Long Branch Lagoon, located at 111 N. 4th Ave., Dodg e City, Kansas. The project includes a total of seven slides: the Boomerango, one 54-inch enclosed slide, one family slide, two drop slides, one enclosed children's slide, and one small tot slide. All slides must be properly prepared and repainted in accordance with original manufacturer specifications, utilizing a high-quality coating system designed to effectively bond and adhere to fiberglass surfaces, ensuring durability and longevity. Surface Preparation Clean surfaces - pressure wash to remove dirt, oils or residues. Remove all failing coatings sanding, grinding or blasting as appropriate. No Painting over peeling, chalking or oxidized surfaces. Identify and address oxidation. Repair substrate damage - fill in cracks, chips, and seams with fiberglass compatible materials. All surface prep must meet the manufacturers specifications for the coating system. Notify the City of any structural issues immediately. Coating System Specifications Paint the exterior of the slide with a Poly-Siloxane Paint. Colors must be a match to the existing colors on each slide. Prevent fading and chalking Must be able to withstand Chlorine and water treatment chemicals Color samples must be supplied and approved. No contamination of dust, insects or moisture during cure time. Want the mil thickness of paint verified. Final walk through with City staff will take place before the job is accepted. Must protect the surrounding pools and decks from spills and overspray of chemicals and paint. Must follow all safety guidelines for fall protection. 2 year warranty of adhesion failure, peeling, blistering or excessive fading of the coating system. Pools will be drained before this project starts. Start date is no earlier than September 21, 2026. End date is December 31, 2026. City requires Product Data sheets for all paint and supplies used on the slides. City requires maintenance recommendations after project completion. Paint must be applied at the mil thickness specified by the manufacturer. Temperature and humidity limits must be observed. Spraying, rolling or a combination of both may be used when applied per the manufacturer recommendations. Prime coat all bare areas. 2 finish coats preferred. Cure time must be observed.
