Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Huntsville, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform the work called for under this contract in a timely, safe, and professional manner. Sealed bids will be received for the Water and Gas AMI Install and Backhaul Network Project. Bids will be accepted only from qualified General Contractors licensed prior to the bid opening by the State of Alabama. A cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities for an amount not less than 5% of the contractor's bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, will be required to accompany each contractor's bid. A performance bond, a payment bond, a maintenance bond, and insurance will be required prior to execution of the contract. Liquidated Damages are a part of all construction projects. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is considered mandatory. Please be sure to acknowledge the Addendums in your bid packet. All questions were to be submitted in writing to miranda.duke@hsvutil.org. All questions below were received in the manner and time in which they were required.
