The purpose of the project is to replace existing VRF system serving the first floor of Martin Hall with new split system heat pumps. DESCRIPTION OF ALTERATIONS WORK A. Scope of demolition and removal work is shown on drawings. B. Scope of alterations work is indicated on drawings. C. The purpose of the project is to replace existing VRF system serving the first floor of Martin Hall with new split system heat pumps. D. A new mechanical room is to be created within the existing chair storage room. E. Existing packaged roof top DOAS unit shall remain with SA ductwork on the first floor reconfigured for new equipment layout. F. Perform electrical and plumbing work in support of demolition of existing HVAC and installation of new HVAC systems. G. Protect existing floors, finishes and building during the HVAC upgrades. H. Make other improvements as noted on the Drawings. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to the Owner in an amount equal to not less than five percent of the Bid. Both a performance bond and a payment bond will be required, each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract Sum prior to execution of contract. The Owner reserves the right in its sole and complete discretion to waive technicalities and informalities. The Owner further reserves the rights in its sole and complete discretion to reject all bids and any bid that is not responsive or that is over the budget. The Owner anticipates that the contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder who provides the lowest bid within the budget.
