Demolition and site work for a residential development in Washington Court House, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
Bids For Asbestos Abatement Demolition Site Restoration Bids are invited for asbestos abatement, demolition, and site restoration of eight residential structures and associated outbuildings. Contractors must submit a Certificate of Insurance for liability coverage, an active Workers Compensation Certificate, agree to warranty all work, submit a completed W-9 Tax Form, and provide equal employment opportunities by signing the Equal Opportunity Employment statement. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, certified check, or letter of credit valued at 10% of the bid amount, along with proof of authority for the signing party. Bidders must be listed as recipients of the Request for Proposal and submit evidence of experience with similar projects. Compliance with prevailing wage rates, equal employment, and state-specific product and labor requirements is mandatory. Bids must be submitted on the provided form and may not be withdrawn within thirty days of opening. The awarding entity reserves the right to reject any or all bids and select the lowest and/or best proposal. o 1126 E. Contractor will execute the following general scope of work listed below. A more detailed scope is included in Attachment C. o Provide the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) 10- day notification prior to building demolition. o Provide adequate on-site sanitary facilities for workers for the duration of the project. o Notify all utility suppliers of intended demolition, to insure all utilities are disconnected. o Remove all buildings and appurtenances to the existing grade level of the lot or lower if required. o Remove existing basements, pits, latrines, wells or cisterns to the total depth of the feature so that no significant concrete, brick or other foreign material remains in the subsurface prior to backfilling. o Break and remove concrete slabs. o Locate and seal all drains, sanitary or storm. Plug and mark sanitary and storm sewers where they enter the public systems. Mark locations of sewer and water connections with the public utility. o Locate and remove septic systems o Remove all wood, lath, plaster, or other deleterious material from area to be filled prior to beginning backfilling operations. o Fill all basements, pits, wells, cisterns, or other open voids with suitable materials (Ramboll must preapprove of all backfill) and recompact in place to facilitate future construction of the site. o Bring the final grade of backfill for basements, pits, wells, cisterns, or other open voids to the existing surrounding grade in such a manner as to present a neat well-drained appearance, and to prevent water draining unnecessarily onto adjacent properties. o Clear the worksite before grading operations are begun including removing and disposing of all dead trees, brush, rubbish, and any other junk or debris. o Dispose all refuse removed from the site at an Ohio EPA approved landfill. o Use demolition methods complying with Ohio EPA Fugitive Dust Requirements and include all arrangements and costs for spraying water on building and refuse piles during demolition and loading. o Remove small debris and grade the site where it will drain adequately and can be readily mowed. o Seed and mulch the site upon completion of demolition and grading.
