Bids for the Fayette County Construction and Demolition Debris Landfill Expansion-Phase B will be received electronically. Contractor must be on ODOT's prequalified list for the work performed. Bidders must be plan holders of record to have their bid considered. No successful bidder will be on the debarred list of the State of Ohio or the State Auditor's findings for recovery list. The bidder is responsible for checking and obtaining any addenda from the specified website. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, certified check, or letter of credit in an amount of 10% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the County. Proof of authority for signing the bond must be submitted. Attention is called to requirements regarding prevailing wage standards, insurance, equal opportunity, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. Contractors and subcontractors are to use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor as practicable. Compliance with prevailing wage rates as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations is required. The owner's estimate for the project is $370,000. No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty days after opening. The Fayette County Commissioners reserve the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids.
