Any changes to the Request for Proposals will be provided to all Proposers of record. The City of Dover is seeking pricing to complete drainage improvements on Penny Lane. This project is intended to improve the drainage collection system along the cul-de-sac on Penny Lane. The project includes installation of two deep sump catch basins and 12in high density polyethylene (HDPE) drain lines to collect surface runoff and direct it into the city drainage system. Test pits have been completed by city personnel prior to design in order to determine the presence and depth of existing ledge. It is anticipated that some ledge will need to be removed to complete the drainage improvements. In addition, the work will include installation of a 6in HDPE drainage stub from proposed CB #1 to the property line of House #10 Penny Lane for future connection to a private sump drain line completed by others. Scope of Work: Contractor work to include with project quote for consideration: o Estimated ledge removal of 20CY o Field core existing CB #1710 for new 12in HDPE drainage pipe o Contractor to dispose of all excess excavation material o Contractor to restore the pavement surface to its original condition and dispose of existing pavement. o Contractor to follow City of Dover guidelines for drain line installation and gravels in trench, o All materials and installation procedures shall adhere to City of Dover Construction Standard Details. List of Material the City will provide: o 2 - 4ft diameter catch basins o 12in HDPE drainage pipe o 6in HDPE drainage pipe and cap o Bedding and backfill materials The task shall begin June 2026 and be completed by end of August 2026.
