This project is for the installation services for downtown decorative lighting improvements, in accordance with the attached specifications, terms and conditions. Any questions or inquiries must be submitted in writing, and, in order to be considered, must be received by the Purchasing Agent (k.cragin@dover.nh.gov) no later than five (5) calendar days before the Request for Proposals due date and time. PROJECT OVERVIEW The City of Dover, New Hampshire, is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the installation of new decorative LED street lighting within the downtown district. The primary goal of this project is to upgrade existing lighting infrastructure to energy-efficient LED technology while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the downtown area. 2. LOCATION OF WORK The work shall be performed at various locations throughout the Downtown Dover district, as identified by the City of Dover Community Services Department. 3. DETAILED SCOPE OF SERVICES The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and incidental supplies necessary to perform the following: Removal: Carefully remove existing decorative light fixtures and poles. Base Replacement: Excavate and remove existing light pole bases. Install new light pole bases (City-supplied) at the existing locations. Conduit Utilization: To the greatest extent possible, the Contractor shall utilize the existing underground conduit. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the connection between the new bases and the existing conduit system. Fixture Installation: Install new LED decorative light fixtures and poles (City-supplied and assembled) onto the newly installed bases. Electrical Connection: Perform all necessary wiring and connections to ensure a fully operational lighting system. Restoration: The Contractor is responsible for the immediate restoration of any disturbed sidewalks, curbing, or landscaping surrounding the installation site. All concrete work must meet City of Dover specifications.
