**As of April 9, 2025 this project will be revision on the bid and extend the deadline accordingly. Sealed bids are requested for the construction of a Public Works Generator project, which includes furnishing and installing one 300-kW tier 4 towable diesel-powered generator set with variable voltage output (480v/240v/208v) and a 17,000-pound D.O.T. compliant tandem axle trailer. The project also requires two sets of (5) 50’, 400-amp cam lock cables, color coded with twist lock adapter, and seven service entrance rated towable generator docking stations. Each docking station must be installed at seven separate critical facilities, including Main Street Pump Station, Overhead Water Storage, Hillcrest Pump Station, and Water Wells #4, 6, 7, & 8, involving interception of main utility feeds and other miscellaneous site work at each location. Bidders must submit a Bid Bond or cashier’s check equal to 10% of the maximum bid amount. The successful bidder must provide bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved surety. The project must comply with the directions of the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) and FEMA in accordance with Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) guidance. Contractors and subcontractors debarred or ineligible for federal assistance funds may not participate. Section 3, Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and Historically Underutilized Business firms are encouraged to bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to accept the bid most advantageous to the City.
