The work consists of replacing the existing, antiquated fire alarm systems in two MHAFB dormitories with new fire alarm and mass notification systems in accordance with manufacturer instructions and the Statement of Work. The scope includes removal and replacement of existing fire alarm devices and associated fire alarm control panels with new addressable smoke and heat detection devices and a new addressable Fire Alarm/Mass Notification System throughout the dormitories, incorporating radio communication to the Fire Department. The new system shall be installed in accordance with the project specifications, NFPA 72, UFC 3-600-01, UFC 4-021-01, and the Architectural Barriers Act, and shall be sole sourced as a Silent Knight EVS Series FA/MNS. The system must interface with the MHAFB AES IntelliNet 2.0 base-wide monitoring system and include a compatible radio transmitter and VHF omni-directional antenna. The project will be executed in two sequential stages consisting of a base requirement for Building 2318 and an optional phase, if exercised, for Building 2416, all in accordance with the Statement of Work. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
