Renovation of an educational facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
UNLV seeks an experienced and qualified Nevada-licensed general contractor to serve as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to provide services for the Tonopah HVAC Re-pipe project, including Pre-Construction Phases and, if the proposed GMP(s) are accepted, to proceed with the Construction Phases. The project shall comply with OSHA requirements and all applicable federal, state, and county statutes, regulations, and codes. The project consists of multiple phases to address critical HVAC repiping and modernization of the campus elevator systems. The CMAR is responsible for developing the construction schedule, identifying and implementing improvements to minimize system outages and building disruption, identifying long-lead items, refining the phased construction strategy to ensure continuous building occupancy, coordinating mechanical shutdowns with low-impact academic periods, initiating discussions with approving agencies and state inspectors during design, and proactively interacting with specialized mechanical and elevator subcontractors to meet technical requirements, budget, and schedule objectives. Bidders must be qualified as bidders with the State Public Works Division of the Department of Administration for the required cost category.
