This project consists of the removal and replacement of distinct segments of cracked or heaved sidewalk throughout the City of Novi, specifically where flags have been identified as having deflected 2 inches or more. The work includes removal and replacement of sidewalk in multiple neighborhoods as identified in the Log of Project. Additional work includes the removal of trees and stumps within the green belt or on private property where easements have been secured. Two alternate bids are identified for work in Leslie Park and Addington Subdivision, and Whispering Meadows. The major items of work include mobilization, pre-construction audio/visual documentation, sidewalk removal, earth excavation, aggregate base installation and conditioning, concrete sidewalk installation of various thicknesses, tree and stump removal, maintaining traffic, surface restoration, and irrigation repair. Bid Security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders must be submitted with each bid. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 120 days after the bid opening. The City reserves the right to accept any or all alternative bids and award the contract to other than the lowest bidder, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to make contract awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Novi.
