The Project generally consists of renovations to various restrooms including new fixtures, toilet partitions, finishes, lighting, HVAC, doors and hardware, as well as related work including selective demolition and concrete patching to support the aforementioned. Only hard copy bids will be accepted. Bids received via electronic transmission shall not be accepted. Bids will not be accepted from bidders who are not on the list of potential bidders. All bids shall be stated in words and figures on bid forms provided in the bid package. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1, et seq. Bids must be submitted on the Proposal Form included in the bid package and shall be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. All bidders shall also submit a Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check, cash, or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, but not to exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance and Payment Bond. All bid security except the security of the three apparent lowest responsible bidders shall be returned within ten business days after the opening of the bids, unless otherwise requested by the bidder. Within three business days, after the awarding of the bid and the signing of the contract by the said bidder and the approval of the bidder's performance bond, the bid security of the remaining unsuccessful bidders shall be returned. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act and with the requirements of the Affirmative Action Program.
