Delaware County Bridge No. 179 Rehabilitation Project The work includes the rehabilitation of Delaware County Bridge No. 179. The scope requires bidding for all general construction, labor, material, tools, equipment, taxes, permits, licenses, insurance, and service costs necessary to complete the project. All materials provided and labor performed must comply with the requirements set forth in the drawings and specifications. Instructions to bidders require that sealed proposals be submitted in a specific manner, including the project title, bid opening date, and the bidder's name and address. Proposals shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bidder's Bond of at least ten percent of the proposal amount. The successful contractor must furnish a Performance Bond for 100% of the contract price within ten days of award and a two-year Maintenance Bond for 20% of the contract price prior to project completion and final payment. Form 96 must be completed and submitted. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities or irregularities, delete any items, and award the contract as deemed most advantageous to the county. Pre-qualification requirements: Only contractors registered on the Indiana Department of Transportation's current listing of Prequalified Contractors for E(C) "Bridge Deck Overlay and Minor Bridge Repair" will be considered. Bids from contractors not approved for this classification will be returned unopened. All proposals will then be publicly opened and read aloud at the County Commissioner's Meeting at 9:00 a.m. on May 04, 2026.
