The work involves providing Special Access Assistance at various bridge inspection sites in NYSDOT Region 2, covering the counties of Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, and Oneida. Subcontractors are required to provide all labor, materials, machinery, tools, and access equipment necessary for the safe operation of special access inspection and skiff support services at the specified bridge inspection sites for the period from Spring 2026 to Spring 2028. The work will assist JMT and NYSDOT personnel or their authorized designees with bridge inspections. Subcontractors must have a minimum of five years of documented experience and hold certifications in the safe operation of special access inspection and skiff support services. All personnel assigned must have current, necessary certifications and be able to communicate effectively. Subcontractors are responsible for all materials and equipment for aerial lift operations to support the inspection teams and must comply with NYSDOT Standard Specifications and all relevant guidelines. All necessary permits or certifications must be secured as required by law. Instructions to bidders include: all applicable provisions of the prime contract apply to subcontracts. JMT reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and disregard non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. Subcontractors must provide the required insurance coverage according to bid specifications. JMT will obtain permits necessary for work such as temporary lane closures; subcontractors must obtain permits for transporting equipment. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes labeled appropriately, and must be received at the designated office by the specified due date and time. Attendance at the bid opening is encouraged but not mandatory. All communications regarding the project must be directed through the designated contact until a contract is approved.
