Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Centralia, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The project entails installation of new stadium lights at the City of Centralia's Fort Borst Park Softball Complex (Fields #2-5). The contractor will install new metal poles with LED light fixtures. Poles are to be buried in the ground for an above-ground height of approximately 70 to 80 feet. The work includes setting new underground wiring and installing new modern control boxes. Each pole will hold LED fixtures and must be designed to fully light the ballfield. The City of Centralia hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Centralia encourages contracting procedures that provide M/WBEs equal opportunity to participate as subcontractor on City contracts. The City of Centralia reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive irregularities in the bid or bidding. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor's work includes any work that will be performed by their subcontractors. The general contractor and all subcontractors must have a State of Washington Contractor's license. The light structure system must be installed by a licensed Electrical Contractor(s) registered in the State of Washington. CONTRACTOR will provide the following: A. Design the ballfield light layout and provide a satellite image of the field with measurements and directions indicating the planned location of the poles and trench for underground wiring. See required lighting specs in Exhibit A, Part 4 for additional submittal requirements (Equipment Layout, On Field Lighting Design, Photometric Report, Pole Structural Calculations, Foundation Drawings, Control & Monitoring System Instructions, Luminaire Specification Sheets.) B. Mark out on the ground where the poles and trenching will be located. C. Supply all materials for the project, including but not limited to: light fixtures, light poles, wire, conduit, concrete, main control panel and miscellaneous electrical material including splice kits, underground boxes, pvc conduit connections. D. Be responsible for all aspects of completing the lighting project (including supervision, labor, materials, and any equipment needed to accomplish the project) with the exception of tasks specifically listed in this scope to be provided by the City of Centralia. E. Verify all measurements (dimensions) of the project. F. Obtain a building permit from the City and an electrical permit from L&I. (Include these costs in the bid.) G. Provide all lift equipment. H. Install high mask fixtures and wiring for all light poles. I. Install new electrical ground boxes at the base of new poles. J. Install and commission lighting control panel. K. Lay conduit for the underground wire and pull wire through conduit from the control panel to each of the new pole. L. Pour concrete around direct burial poles, including concrete pour, truck, aeration and all tools. M. Calibrate the lights once installed, including providing the man-lift for aiming the lights. N. Clean up the site of all debris, packing and construction materials. O. Provide training to City staff on how to use the light system. P. Provide as built drawings within 30 days from the conclusion of construction. Q. Manufacture must provide a 10-Year Parts and Labor Warranty: Manufacturer shall supply a warranty covering the lighting fixture performance for 10 years from the date of final sign-off.
