Description

Renovation of a swimming pool in Wantagh, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.

The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is seeking quotes to inspect, verify, and repair concrete deficiencies within the pool basin, including cracks, spalls, and areas with exposed reinforcement, per the design drawings. Quantities shown on the drawings are for reference only and may exceed those included in this RFQ. Contractor shall perform sounding and visual inspection of all concrete surfaces, verify all repair locations indicated on the drawings, and identify any additional deficient areas. Contractor shall clearly mark out all proposed repair locations in the field, and all locations (plan-identified and field-identified) must be reviewed and approved by the Parks Director's Representative prior to performing any repairs. Repairs shall include, but are not limited to, hairline cracks, large cracks, cracks behind coatings/paint, concrete spalls, and areas with exposed reinforcement. All repairs shall result in a sound, flush surface suitable for final coating. Painting and/or waterproofing shall be limited to repaired areas only and must be compatible with existing or proposed finishes. Contractor shall submit all product data, materials, and repair methods for approval prior to beginning work. All work shall be completed on or before May 15, 2026.
