The project consists of constructing a new PFAS/PFOA treatment system designed to remove per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances from the source waters. The new treatment building installation will include granular activated carbon vessels, a below-grade clearwell, associated pumping equipment, and all required electrical systems. Site improvements will involve modifications to the existing flood wall, installation of new walkways, construction of a gravel access driveway, installation of a blowoff pit and associated piping, and restoration of the existing gravel driveway. The project also includes replacing the current emergency generator with a larger diesel generator capable of supporting the expanded treatment operations. All additional requirements, technical specifications, and construction details are provided in the project specifications and plan sheets. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Village of Nyack, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract.
