Site work and paving for a road / highway in Emporia, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**As of May 12th, 2026, this project has been awarded to APAC-Kansas, Inc. for $170,792.** The work will consist of the following approximate quantities: Crack Seal 2,282 lbs; Chip Seal 27,535 SY; Fog Seal 27,535 SY; Mobilization 1 LS; Traffic Control 1 LS. Add Alternate No. 1: Chip Seal 1,580 SY; Fog Seal 1,580 SY. Add Alternate No. 2: Chip Seal 2,819 SY; Fog Seal 2,819 SY. Add Alternate No. 3: Crack Seal 1,867 lbs. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or approved bidder's bond in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid. Bid bonds must be from a surety authorized in Kansas and acceptable to the City. The awarded bidder must furnish a statutory bond and a performance and maintenance bond, each for 100% of the contract amount, both acceptable to the City and conforming to contract requirements. Plans and bid documents are available at the City Engineer's office. If documents are to be sent by UPS, a $20 fee applies. The City of Emporia 2018 Master Set of Specifications is available for $20 (hard copy), or bidders must acknowledge its review and agreement to abide by it. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive defects. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after the opening.
