The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in the specifications. The estimated item quantities are as follows: mobilization/demobilization, fuel price adjustment, clearing site, unclassified excavation (if and where directed), dense graded aggregate base course (variable thickness), 12" and 15" high density polyethylene pipe (if and where directed), soil erosion control measures, stone dust (3" thick), rip-rap (12" thick, d50=4"), clean crushed stone AASHTO #57 (6" thick), topsoil spreading (6" thick), fertilizing and seeding (Type A-3), and straw mulching. Bidders must make bids on the standard Proposal form, enclose them in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the project. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, bid bond, or cashier's check for ten percent of the total amount bid (not more than $20,000), along with an executed consent on the included Bid Bond and Consent of Surety Forms from an approved surety. The contract must be signed within ten days after the Notice of Award, or the bid security will be forfeited. Bidders are required to comply with affirmative action regulations and stockholder's disclosure regulations. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to the bidder(s) deemed most advantageous and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law. Specifications and proposal forms are available from the Purchasing Department at a non-refundable cost. Any explanation desired by bidders regarding the meaning or interpretation of the drawings and specifications must be requested in writing and with sufficient time allowed, at least 14 days prior to the bid opening date, for a reply to reach them before the submission of their bids
