Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Penn Laird, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility.
The work consists of the construction of a Concessions, Restroom, and Pressbox building at an existing high school, including all site and site utility work. Bids must be submitted on the designated form, completed in ink or typed, signed by an authorized representative, and delivered in a sealed envelope bearing the bidder's name, address, registration number, project name, and acceptance date. Bids must be received prior to the specified acceptance time and date. Bids by telephone, telegraph, or facsimile shall not be accepted. Bid security in the form of an approved Bid Bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount is required, payable to Rockingham County School Board. If a contract is awarded, a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount shall be required of the successful contractor. Bidders are required to comply with the provisions regarding non-discrimination in employment, a drug-free workplace, and must show evidence of Certificate of Registration before bids may be received and considered. Each bidder must note their Registered Virginia Contractor number and class on both the envelope and bid form over their signature. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for 60 calendar days, except as provided by law. The notice to proceed can be issued anytime within the 60-day bid hold period without cause for delay. Question Deadline 04/23/2026 at 5:00 PM ET Submit questions in writing to Architecture, Inc. by close of business (5:00 pm). Responses will be in the form of Addenda if required.
