PROJECT DESCRIPTION CSU Northridge desires to hire a design-build contractor to design and construct a new Photovoltaic (PV) Canopy System in the G3 surface Parking Lot, bound by Zelzah Avenue to the east, Prairie Street to the north, Dearborn Avenue to the south, and Matador Way to the west. The goal of the Project is to install the largest feasible configuration of PV arrays within the existing surface parking lot without exceeding the maximum acceptance cost of the project/contract. The solar contract for this installation will be an outright purchase paid for entirely by CSU Northridge (not a power-purchase-agreement nor a solar lease). Projects submitted above the maximum acceptance cost will neither be accepted nor considered. The Project will consist of the design, permitting, and construction of a photovoltaic structural canopy, photovoltaic panels, foundations, electrical infrastructure, substation upgrades, under canopy lighting, parking lot slurry seal, parking lot striping, LADWP permitting, interconnection with LADWP via the Campus's electrical infrastructure, and the installation of a LADWP Vista Switch.
