The project will rehabilitate Pumping Plant #616, Cahuenga located on 4080 Cahuenga Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604. The work includes rehabiliting of the concrete and lining in the wet well, replacing the steel bar screen basket and guides, replacing the floats in the wet well, replacing the exhaust ventilation in the wet well, repairing the maintenance hole brickwork, replacing two pumps located in the drywell, replacing the pump hatch, upgrading the pump room lighting, upgrading the ventilation fan and HVAC, upgrading the security system, upgrading the Uninterruptible Power Supply, upgrading the Motor Control Center, upgrading the Programmable Logic Controller, and replacing the existing force main. The project shall mitigate potential climate risks by installing install a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system. The facility must remain in service during rehabilitation; therefore, a bypass operation is mandatory. Cahuenga Pumping Plant #616 is located in a heavily trafficked area; therefore, nightwork may be mandatory. As of May 13, 2026, this project is in the conceptual phase. Information regarding the consultant firm could not be released. Construction is estimated to take place in the next six to eight months.
