Site work for a water / sewer project in Ottawa, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work is officially known as "CITY OF OTTAWA ERICKSON STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT" and generally includes the installation of approximately 2,055 feet of 12, 8, and 6 inch diameter water mains using conventional construction methods, associated appurtenances, and restoration. Contract documents including construction drawings and special provisions may be examined at the designated offices, and copies may be obtained for a fee. Proposals must be submitted on forms supplied by the City and accompanied by a bid bond, money order, or certified check for not less than five percent of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract amount. All laborers, workmen, and mechanics must be paid at least the prevailing minimum wage as determined by the Department of Labor. Contractors must be registered annually and furnish required licenses and bonds. The City encourages minority business participation and reserves the right to waive technicalities or reject any or all proposals.
