Renovation of a mixed-use development in Gardner, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work consists of renovation of the existing boys and girls' locker rooms at Gardner High School. The renovation includes the fit-out of new team rooms and renovated locker rooms, training room, conditioning and ancillary athletic spaces. Scope includes new roof top air handling units with supplementary steel and roof patch and flashing. Bids shall be on a lump sum as indicated in the Bid Form. Sealed Bids with the required Bid deposit will be received for the following items of work: Acoustical Tile, Electrical Work, Painting, Plumbing, Resilient Floors, HVAC, and Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron. Filed Sub-Bids with the required Bid deposit will be received for these subtrades. All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 44A - 44J inclusive or as amended. Prospective General Bidders and Filed Sub-Bidders must submit with their Bid a certificate of eligibility issued by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), showing that the Bidder has been approved to bid on projects of the size and nature as advertised. Prospective General Bidders and Filed Sub-Bidders must also submit an updated statement summarizing their record for the period between the latest DCAMM certificate and the date of the Bid submittal. The DCAMM certificate of eligibility to be submitted by the General Bidder shall be for the category of work defined as "General Building Construction." The DCAMM certificate of eligibility to be submitted by the Filed Sub-Bidders shall be for the category of work for which they are submitting a Bid. Bidding Documents may be obtained by registering on the City of Gardner website. A bid deposit shall be furnished. Performance and Payment Bonds, in the full amount of the Contract Price, will be required of the Successful Bidder. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development, and Federal Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the United States Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act, also apply to this project. QA date - 5-1-2026 All questions and requests for clarification or interpretation of the Bid Documents shall be in writing and addressed to the Purchasing Agent, and to be given consideration shall be received at least five (5) days prior to the bid opening
