The County of Madera Public Works Department (Department) is seeking to hire a qualified consultant firm to provide Environmental Services. The required services consist of providing historical, archeological, and cultural evaluation and reporting on an existing bridge as part of the Departments Bridge Preventative Maintenance Project. This project is federally funded through the Highway Bridge Program (HBP). The project is currently programmed Preliminary Engineering (PE) funds in the 2025 Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP). PE funds have already been authorized, and the Department is actively working on progressing the project to construction phase. The County is utilizing at risk PE and using local funding to start the Preliminary Engineering phase early. Federal Cost Principles apply to the PE phase as the County will seek reimbursement for the funds spent during the PE phase.
