Site work for a development in Belle Plaine, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a development.
Site preparation work shall consist of clearing, grubbing, stripping, refuse removal, bank sloping and structure removal on the site as necessary to rid the site of all undesirable materials on or near the surface and prepare the site for the structure. All woody growth within the construction area shall be cleared and all stumps and roots one inch in diameter or larger shall be grubbed from the site. In addition, all areas within 25 feet of the footprint of the structure shall be cleared and grubbed except as directed by NRCS. The work shall also consist of the removal and disposal of structures (including fences) that must be removed to perform other items of work. For wetland restoration, enhancement, or creation projects, the wetland area shall be disturbed as little as possible and existing naturally vegetated spillway areas shall not be disturbed. The estimated cost range for this project is $155,000 to $185,000. This project includes 18 saturated buffer structures located in Poweshiek, Tama, and Marshall County, Iowa. The estimated cost range for this project is $155,000 to $185,000. Some of the materials required for this project include water control structures (WCS), perforated and non-perforated piping, outlet structures, and other items. The work involves, but is not limited to, earthwork, grading, mobilization, and seeding. Bids must be submitted on the appropriate bid forms provided, include a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%), and bidders must be registered with the Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals & Licensing. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance/Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract price, execute the contract, obtain appropriate insurance, provide their Public Registration Number, and complete the provided Construction Progress Schedule within fourteen (14) calendar days from the Notice-of-Award. Construction shall commence within 14 days after the Preconstruction Conference.
