The general nature of the work includes patching PCC roadways on generally local streets with quantities of 1,870 SY of full depth PCC patch, 550 SF of partial depth patch, 9,900 LF of crack and joint cleaning and filling, 25 cross-stitch tie bars, and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. Bids shall be submitted on the provided proposal form in a sealed and plainly marked envelope. Any alteration of the proposal form may lead to rejection. Each bid must include bid security as defined in Code of Iowa Section 26.8. The bid security is to be placed in a separate envelope attached to the bid envelope. Bidders must also submit a properly completed and signed statement regarding bidder's resident status on the designated form. Failure to do so may result in rejection. In addition, bidders must complete and sign the Equal Employment Opportunity / Non-Discrimination Policy Statement and submit it with the bid proposal. Only one set of bidding documents is available without charge to prospective bidders. All additional sets and requests from non-prospective bidders will incur a fee. Only bidding documents and proposal forms obtained from the City of Marion Public Works Department are authorized for use, and reproduction without express permission is prohibited. Engineer's Estimate: $355,000 Work shall commence no later than August 17th, 2026, and be completed within 50 working days. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1000.00 per day will be assessed for work not completed within this time.
