This project includes 3 bioreactors and 17 saturated buffer structures located in Cedar and Muscatine County, Iowa. The work involves, and is not limited to, excavation, earthwork, grading, mobilization, and seeding. Some of the materials required for this project include water control structures (WCS), woodchips, geotextile fabric, perforated and non-perforated piping, outlet structures, and other items. There is a strict construction schedule for this project. Bids must be submitted on the appropriate bid forms provided and shall include a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%). Bidders must also be registered with the Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals & Licensing. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance/Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The successful bidder will be required to execute the Contract, obtain the appropriate insurance coverage and the Performance Bond, provide their Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, & Licensing Public Registration Number, and complete the provided Construction Progress Schedule within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date when Notice-of-Award is delivered to the Bidder. Construction shall commence within 14 days after the Preconstruction Conference.
