Sealed bids are requested for hydrated lime bulk loads. The use of trade names and numbers is for the purpose of establishing a standard of quality and does not limit competition. Quantities listed are estimates only and not guaranteed. Bidders must use the provided bid form and submit documentation to evidence qualification to perform the specified services. All bids must be sealed, clearly marked, written or printed in ink, and signed by an authorized representative. Electronic, faxed, or oral bids are not accepted. Bids must be accompanied by the Beason Hammon Certificate, Everify MOU, Certificate of Compliance with Act 2016-312, Certificate of Compliance with Act 2023-409, and a W-9 form. Bid responses must be provided in triplicate (one original and two copies). Bids must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. The County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in awarding to the lowest responsive bidder. Failure to comply with submission instructions (such as marking the envelope, signing documents, or including required information) may result in disqualification. The award will be made to the lowest responsible bid meeting specifications, considering quality, conformity, delivery, purpose, and past performance. The contract period is 180 days, renewable for up to three years under the same terms upon agreement of both parties.
