This requirement is for removal of an existing incinerator and associated exhaust piping and exterior brick tuckpointing at the Research and Education Building. The work includes the complete disconnection, dismantling, and disposal of the old incinerator unit, exhaust piping, and brackets attached to the building, performed in compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations to protect patients, staff, contractors, and the surrounding environment. Following removal, the contractor shall restore affected areas to ensure the space is clean, safe, and suitable for continued use. The project also includes exterior brick tuckpointing on approximately 21,500 square feet of the five-story Research and Education Building façade. This work involves removing deteriorated mortar joints and replacing them with new mortar that matches the existing mortar in composition, color, texture, and profile to restore façade integrity, prevent water infiltration, and extend the service life of the structure.
