The project aims to enhance safety along North Courtenay Parkway (State Road 3) from Catalina Isle Drive to the S.R. 528/S.R. A1A eastbound on-ramp in Merritt Island, Brevard County. The proposed concept would replace the existing center two-way left turn lane with a raised median to reduce the potential for severe head-on and angle crashes, while providing median openings and left turn lanes for access. Additional work includes installing a new traffic signal at North Courtenay Parkway and Via De La Reina, consistent with the existing roadway configuration in the corridor.
