Renovation and maintenance repair work on a 100-plus year old (47ft x 48ft) barn. Work includes structural repairs to three levels of the barn, with main items being: safe shoring plan, selective demolition, installation of eight steel columns and footings, sistering of several wood joists, replacement of rotted wood framing, overlay decking of floor, and stone wall repair. This is a single prime contract. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid proposal. Sealed bids are to be delivered to the specified address and must be received by the stated deadline. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the barn site. Prevailing wage rates apply, and applicable state public works employment verification is required. The selected bidder must provide performance bond, payment bond, maintenance bond, and insurance certifications including worker's compensation insurance.
