Renovation of a mixed-use development in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 27,874-square-foot, one-story above grade office development; and educational facility.
Sealed proposals are requested for furnishing all materials and performing all work for gymnasium and office HVAC renovations at the Gauntlett Center for the Marple Newtown School District. The work includes general construction, heating, ventilation and air conditioning construction, and electrical construction. Bidders must submit their proposals on the provided Form of Proposal and accompany their submission with a bank cashier or treasurer's check, or bid bond, totaling at least ten percent of the proposal amount, payable to the Marple Newtown School District, along with a Non-Collusion Affidavit. Bidders should be prepared to submit evidence of experience, qualifications, and financial ability to perform the contract. Construction documents will be available electronically after registration and payment of a nonrefundable fee. Bidders must frequently check the designated website for additional information or addenda. Bids must be sealed, clearly marked, and delivered to the Administration Building, addressed to the Director of Operations. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after bid opening. The School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof. The successful bidder must provide satisfactory performance, payment, and maintenance bonds. All bidders must inspect the site and building before submitting a bid. The drawings generally indicate the location of all work described in the technical specifications. Contractors must assess exact quantities, materials, labor, and existing conditions before bidding. By signing the agreement, the contractor certifies evaluation of all existing conditions and establishes that the contract will be completed for the costs stated in the proposal and agreement. Bidders wishing to obtain approval on items other than those specified by name shall submit their request to the Architect not later Thursday, February 12, 2026. No substitutions will be considered thereafter.
