Newtown Township Notice is hereby given that Newtown Township, Questions Due Date: Aug 8th 2025, 12:00 PM EDT Delaware County, PA and Willistown Township, Chester County, PA Bids must be accompanied by an approved form of bid security equal to at least 10% of the total net bid price. A 100% Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required. The respective Municipal Boards of Supervisors reserve the right to reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, for any cause whatsoever, as they deem in the best interests of their respective Municipality. SCOPE OF WORK INTENT OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS This is a design/build contract and as such, the intent of the plans and specifications is to provide a concept of the project and establish certain parameters to complete the project. Therefore, according to the contract, furnish material, equipment, tools, labor, and incidental work complete in place, unless otherwise provided, and be responsible for the complete supervision, performance, and completion of the work. ALTERATION OF DRAWINGS OR WORK The Townships reserves the right to order, at any time during the progress of the work, alterations in the construction drawings or specifications, including alterations in the grade or alignment of the road or structures. Any such order will be in writing by the Owners or their Representatives. Such alterations will not invalidate the contract, nor release the surety. If the aforementioned alterations of the construction drawings will significantly increase or decrease the cost of performing the work directly affected, perform such work only when authorized in writing by the Townships. If the aforementioned alterations are of such magnitude as to require a change in the time to complete the project, a time adjustment will be made upon agreement by the Townships and the Contractor.
