Renovation of an educational facility in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Firms must be currently prequalified with the SCA and qualified to perform work valued over $3,000,000 if their bid exceeds that amount. Bidders and their subcontractors performing work are required to become signatory to and be bound by the provisions of the Project Labor Agreement (PLA). All contractors and subcontractors must register with the Department of Labor and provide a Certificate of Registration with their bid. Access to solicitation documents and bid submission is via the BidSet Website. Specific contractor-furnished insurance requirements and SCA-furnished insurance coverage apply. An allowance of $93,287.50 is to be included in the Lump Sum Bid Amount. Bids must be submitted in whole dollars, and a bid breakdown will be requested from the apparent low bidder within 72 hours after bid opening. A bid bond or certified check for 5% of the bid amount must accompany the bid. All "Wicks" trade subcontractors (HVAC, Plumbing & Gas Fitting, Electrical) must be prequalified by the SCA and not be disqualified, suspended, or ineligible at bid opening. Bidders must include the names and estimates for these trades with their bid or, if self-performing, provide evidence of capability and licensing. Only prequalified contractors will be considered for award. Bidders must follow instructions for payment enrollment in the NYC Financial Management System and may need to provide additional bidder information as outlined in the Information for Bidders. All questions by prospective bidders concerning this solicitation should be directed to rfisca@nycsca.org, in writing at least three (3) business days prior to the originally scheduled, or, if applicable, postponed bid opening date using the project solicitation number in the subject line as indicated in the following example: RFISCA 26-12345D-1 Smith and Jones Construction.
