Renovation of a municipal facility in Fortuna, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Question Deadline 04/21/2026 Bidders must submit their questions via e-mail to queenann.herron@dot.ca.gov. Written questions must include: the individual's name, firm name, e-mail address and must reference IFB No. 01A6615. Detailed Description of Work Roofing (4200 Square Feet (sq. ft.)) Contractor shall remove and legally dispose of all existing built-up roofing material necessary to install new roof system according to the specifications outlined in this Exhibit A, Scope of Work. Labor for such work shall be bid in accordance with Bid Proposal, Attachment 1, Item 1. Contractor shall address rot on four (4) roof beams on east side of Equipment Storage/Office Building. See Roof Beam Rot Photos, Attachment 3 for photos of current beam condition. Contractor shall use reciprocating saw or like-tool to cut away parts of exterior beam that are damaged due to rot. Contractor shall not remove more than 48 inches of beam without approval in writing from Contract Manager. Parts of roof beam that are cut away due to rot shall be removed all the way up to the roof. As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to meeting the State’s twenty-five percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), SBs for the purpose of Public Works (SB-PW) and Contractors willing to commit to subcontracting a minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) of their net price to certified SBs or MBs (if applicable) are encouraged to submit bids. See Section D, Special Programs in this IFB for requirements. A Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation requirement is not required, but DVBE participation is encouraged, and a DVBE incentive does apply to this IFB. See Section D, Special Programs in this IFB for requirements.
