Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in San Luis Obispo, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Question Deadline 04/23/2026 at 5:00 PM PT Questions regarding this IFPQ must be submitted in writing. Written questions must include the individual's name, firm name, complete address, and must reference IFPQ No. 05A2935. Questions must be sent to the following email: Email: Angel.Cervantes.Jr@dot.ca.gov an estimated value of greater than $5,000.00, but not more than $461,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, traffic control, travel, and incidentals necessary to provide concrete curb, gutter, and drainage replacement to Caltrans. The services shall be performed at the District 05 Office Building, located at 50 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. A. Demolition and Removal Contractor shall remove and legally dispose of approximately: 1) 300 linear feet of existing concrete curb 2) 750 square feet (sq ft) of existing parking lot asphalt (for new curb and gutter) 3) 60 sq ft of concrete approach 4) 22 concrete stop blocks B. Site Preparation 1) Contractor shall fill, level, and smooth all areas receiving new concrete or asphalt. 2) Contractor shall properly prepare soil subgrade before installation of concrete and asphalt. 3) Contractor shall subgrade and prepare the base layer. 4) Contractor shall inspect exposed subgrade for stability. 5) Contractor shall remove and replace unsuitable material if required (upon Caltrans approval). 6) Contractor shall fine grade and compact subgrade to provide a stable foundation. 7) Contractor shall compact to industry standards prior to paving. C. Installation Contractor shall furnish and install: 1) Approximately 300 linear feet of 6-inch curb and 12-inch gutter with proper drainage slope to the existing v-swale. 2) Approximately 750 sq ft of asphalt placed in three (3) layers to tie in new curb and gutter to existing parking lot asphalt. 3) #3 rebar placed at 12 inches on center in the concrete approach. 4) New concrete approach with proper drainage fall between the existing concrete path and the new curb and gutter system. 5) 22 new concrete stop blocks. 6) Parking lot striping to replace any damaged parking lot striping. D. Compliance & Materials 1) Contractor shall ensure proper delineation per Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. 2) Contractor shall use all new materials.
