The project is a Level 2 renovation that involves the consolidation of two existing walk-in cooler spaces into a single space and the upfitting of that space. Equipment associated with the new walk-in cooler will be relocated to the roof over the Arcade. Work is to be performed at the VSDB Campus, Bass Hall Kitchen, Ground Floor. PROJECT CODE: 218-B6218-001 Summary Project Description: ___ Bass Hall is a four-story building on the campus of The Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind. The Kitchen is on the Ground Floor. The scope of this project will be the consolidation of two existing walk-in coolers currently serving the Kitchen. There will be selective demolition to prepare the existing space for the new equipment. New work will be closely coordinated with the Owner's subcontractor who has been selected to provide the walk in cooler. The extent of the subcontracted work is outlined in Appendix D. The General Contractor will be responsible to provide rated ceilings, finishes and improvements to existing sprinkler and electrical systems. Mechanical equipment associated with the new walk-in cooler will be relocated to the roof over the arcade. The General Contractor will provide work on the existing roof to mount the new condensing unit (provided by the walk-in cooler subcontractor). ___ B.
