The project consists of the demolition of the existing well building and fence, construction of a test hole, test well, and a production well to a depth of approximately 400 feet. The production well must be a 16-inch I.D. well including a 75 HP motor with a 10-inch vertical turbine exterior rated motor. The scope also includes capacity and water quality testing, and a Source Water Assessment (SWA). The work is divided into two milestones: Milestone No. 1 includes demolition, SCADA relocation, test hole, test well, production well, water quality and quantity testing, and concrete pedestal (Bid Item Nos. 1 thru 7). Milestone No. 2 includes the SWA, selection, approval, delivery, and installation of pumping equipment, including pump equipment and a 10-inch column assembly (Bid Item Nos. 8 thru 10). Bidders must be properly licensed drillers, attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting, and carry the MU - Municipal and Utility classification in Alabama. Each bidder and subcontractor must submit Bidders Qualifications and an Affidavit of Immigration Compliance with their E-Verify Program Memorandum of Understanding at the time of bid submission. Nonresident contractors must provide evidence of registration with the Alabama Secretary of State and a Certificate of Good Standing. Preference is given to resident contractors per Alabama law. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
