The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the project. The general items of work include: mobilization; traffic control and construction signage; patch paving, crack seal, slurry seal; pavement delineation; traffic striping and pavement marker installation and such other items or details required by the Plans, Standard Specifications, or Special Provisions to be performed, placed, constructed, or installed. The classification of Contractor's license required is Class A or C-12. All contractors and subcontractors who bid or work on a public works project must register and pay an annual fee to the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to California Labor Code section 1725.5. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a labor and materials bond and a faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract amount. Each bidder must submit all Proposal pages with its sealed bid. Bidders are encouraged to review and familiarize themselves with field conditions at the various project sites before submitting a bid. The Engineer's estimate for construction for the work is approximately $1,370,000 (Base Bid). Should it be found that the point in question is not clearly and fully set forth, a written Addendum will be sent to all persons receiving a set of documents that are on the project planholder's list (see Item 1 above).
