Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. A. Work of the Project includes replacement of Gravity Filters No. 1 and No. 2 as well as miscellaneous site work. B. Perform Work of Contract under stipulated sum Contract with Owner according to Conditions of Contract. Opinion of Probable Construction Cost (Base Bid): $3,000,000 Replacement of Gravity Filters No. 1 and No. 2, piping renovations, and miscellaneous site work. All bidders must purchase a bid packet to submit a qualified bid. The bid packet consists of one copy of plans and specifications, available for a payment of two hundred thirty dollars ($230.00) excluding shipping, payable to Key Companies. Attention of bidders is called to requirements regarding Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement of a payment bond and performance bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Attention of bidders is also called to Ohio revised Code Section 153.12, which states that no contract shall be entered into if the price of the bids for the project is in excess of twenty percent (20%) above the Engineer's estimate. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids and may award a contract to the lowest and best bidder.
