Project to include supplying and installing new valves and appurtenances (1-36", 3-16", 1-8") and excavating sediment within 50' of the intake structure 6" below 36" valve flowline. Sediment to be disposed of at an onsite location above the high-water line. Each bidder shall accompany his original bid, with a certified or Cashier's Check on a solvent bank located in Oklahoma or a Bidder's Bond, in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount bid, as a guarantee of his ability to perform the contract bid upon, and that he will enter into a written contract with the Owner to perform said work and/or furnish said materials in accordance with said plans and specifications and furnish the required bonds within seven (7) days after the acceptance of his bid. The deposit will be retained by the Owner as, and for, liquidated damages in case the successful bidder fails to enter in said contract and furnish the required bonds provided for in the specifications within the time required. Deposit of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon the execution of the Contract and required bonds. The intent of the project is to install new valves and appurtenances in the existing intake structure in order to return the facility to working condition. The proposed work includes: Remove sediment and debris from within 50 ft. of the intake structure. At the 50 ft. mark Contractor shall slope ground 4;1 to meet existing. Sediment and debris shall be disposed above the high water line as directed by the City. It is anticipated that bypass pumping into the City's raw water line will be required to complete the work. WORK shall include all labor, materials, equipment, construction tolls and equipment, services, and utilities. The work is located, at Rocky Lake, approximately 1 mile west of Rocky, Oklahoma and 1/2 mile north of SH 55, in Washita County.
